Assault lines

An assault line marks the two ends of an assaulting element. Fire is kept a set number of degrees off every line, measured at each position, from whichever troop is closest to that position's sector. Add lines with + at the top.

Planning aid only. Fire Planner is not an approved fire plan, range safety approval or surface danger zone. It does not replace doctrine, your unit SOP, your chain of command or range control. Check every number before you rely on it.

The numbers can be wrong. Weapon ranges, traverse limits and other figures are typical published values and may be incomplete or out of date. Confirm them against your weapon manual and current doctrine.

Keep sensitive data out. Do not enter classified, controlled or operationally sensitive information, such as real unit locations or plans. Your positions stay in this browser on this device and are not sent to any server. Files you save, export or copy (projects, KML, fire plans) are yours to protect.
